Subscribe to Knowledge calendar

Blackboard Learn’s iCalendar feed has a refresh time of 4 hours. The support for refresh times varies across third party calendars. Google refreshes every few hours while Outlook respects the refresh time set by Blackboard, i.e., 4 hours. So if you set up a calendar on your iPhone and it doesn’t update immediately, DON’T PANIC. It may take as long as 4 hours for the calendar to update. Continue reading

Starting in Term 1 2012-2013, students and faculty can group the courses that appear in the My Courses box by term. To turn this feature on, click the MANAGE MY COURSES button (the gear-icon on the right side of the MY COURSES box heading).

Submit Assignment

One of the key features of Blackboard is the ability to submit assignments directly through your course site.  Follow the steps below to submit an assignment:

  1. After entering your course site, select the area of the navigation bar that contains the assignment.  In this example, we’ve added an assignments button but assignments may be located in other areas of the course.

Why is my course marked “unavailable”?

When course sites are created, they are unavailable to students by default. When a professor is ready for students to access a course site, they must make it available.

How do I change my email address on Knowledge?

Users can no longer change their email address on Knowledge. Your email address on Knowledge should be your @udmercy.edu email address. If for some reason this is not your Knowledge email address, send ids@udmercy.edu an email from your UDM email account indicating this and your account will be updated.

If you’d rather not use TitanConnect to read and manage your email, you might consider using the forwarding feature built into the UDM email system or set up a desktop email client like Thunderbird. You’ll find instructions for setting up both these options after the jump …. Continue reading
